Cystic fibrosis?

Does anyone have it or have a child that has it? My son is a month old now but was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when he was 2 weeks old. I am so heartbroken. But I want to know what to expect, and what I can do to make his life better. Please don't move this post to the cystic fibrosis forum, as nobody is on there and this is serious to me.

I am a respiratory therapist and there is so much stuff they can do for people diagnosed with CF these days. A lot will depend on the severity of his case, but if you keep up with his medicines and his treatments he should have a great outcome. My friend has a little girl that has cf and she stays on top of her little girls medicines and her bronchial hygiene and her little girl does really great. Her daughter does tend to catch illnesses a little easier, but she is a very happy, active child and you wouldn't know she had it unless you knewn them.
