I went for my first appointment today and they gave me a vaginal sonogram, it didn't hurt as bad as I feared. But we got to see baby and hear the heart beat. It was amazing and we are further along than we though :D (thought I was 9 weeks but I'm 10)

I had a ultrasound at 6 w and saw the baby and heartbeat... And I had one at 8w and 9w and 11w due to cramping and bleeding but yes If you were to get an ultrasound you would be able to see the baby

I think it depends especially when you don't know when your last period was.. I am not sure I had to wait till 12 weeks

I had an abdominal ultrasound at 7 weeks and baby looked like a jellybean.
Doesn't necessarily mean you'll have a vaginal ultrasound.
