braxton hicks

Ive been having braxton hicks for weeks now & I'm still having them. I'm 38+3. Shouldn't labor be coming on really soon? I feel like I'll go past my due date :(

I've had braxton hicks since 13 weeks with this pregnancy, and irregular contractions from 33 weeks. I'm 39 +2 now and nothing yet. Braxton hicks sadly have no link to when you'll go into labour. don't worry you're near the end now though, make the most of your time to youself before baby arrives, he/she will arrive when ready :) most first pregnancies go over due. the average pregnancy is 38-42 weeks. I Would love to go over due but I have to be induced on my due date for medical reasons, and trust me i've been induced before and would rather go naturally and wait until 42 weeks. It'll happen for you soon! just try lots of walking, bouncing on birthing ball, curries etc. They wont hurt! good luck.
