Delivery

When it actually came to push how long did you ladies push for? Was it some of a relief compared to the contractions and pain while waiting? I'm due in a few weeks and getting pretty nervous about the pain.

I pushed for 35 mins :) pushing is the best feeling as you feel like you're actually actively doing something rather than just experiencing contractions. Not sure what it's like where you live put they usually don't let women push for longer than 2 hours here

I pushed for an hour and she didn't budge, she was lying twisted so we ended up in surgery having the spinal and forceps :(

I pushed for about 5 minutes or less, I pushed her out quick. All natural no epidural, it hurt when her head came out, i tore a little bit, not enough to get stitched though. I found it easier to just keep on pushing nonstop instead of waiting around for contractions.

I pushed for maybe 10 minutes only two contractions with both my first and second. I waited for my body to start pushing on its own and then I pushed with my body. It felt good to push with my first because I was having back labor. But with my second I had to try and stop my body from pus

I pushed for three hours. My son was nine pounds and I did it med-free, my midwife did perineal massage the whole time so we avoided any tearing whatsoever. It was exhausting. I asked at one point how long I'd been pushing and nobody in the room would tell me... I wanted to quit and take a nap and try again later... but at that point there's no giving up. It was super hard work but it was pretty awesome knowing what an incredible thing I was doing. There was always motivation to keep going - I wanted to finally meet that little person!

Pushing for me was a great relieve. You'll feel alot of pressure, will burn when the head crowns but have them use oil, it'll help it. Just keep.reminding yourself that this os it, final moments! :) Good luck!

I'm going to try natural, but I don't know how much I'll be able to handle because my ovary is intertwined with my appendix so I may end up doing an epidural depending how it goes.

Are you doing natural medicine free? I pushed for like less than 10 minutes. I was only in the hospital for a little over an hour before my son arrived. I got there around 450 my water broke at 556 and son came out 618pm. & yes it's a good feeling knowing the pain was almost done while pushing.  Made me push even harder n faster

I pushed for an hour... It was relieving at first but then it hurt so bad I didn't think I was gonna make it.. Lol and I had an epidural too! My son was crowning for almost 45 minutes, that's why it hurt so bad... But a positive being I didn't tear or anything (:
