My stepdad was the hardest to tell. He cried was so upset with me. I didn't even want to tell him. Mind you he's raised me since I was 2 so I'm practically his daughter but eventually he gave in. It was really hard but felt tons better after having that stress off my mind! The sooner the better :)
I am in the exact same boat, I have only told my mum! It doesn't help I am living over here and my whole family lives in Australia. I'm so scared to tell the rest of my family, as they have never met my partner so I know my dad is going to flip out. Sometimes they forget I am 22 and can make my own decisions.
Im 21 I told my dad I was pregnant he probably didn't take it well but im a grown woman and all he can do is accept it.
Thank you so much everyone that helps alot. I think ill ask him to his favorite bar and tell him over a drink. Of water of course for me. A strong vodka for him lol.
Why are you nervous to tell him your 21 your legal to get pregnant lol :)
Yes it will be hard at first but it definitely gets better my dad is a very religious man and to find out I was having a baby out of wedlock killed him but he came around and now he is excited for my daughter who will be the first grandchild he was just happy that I came to him and told him out of respect instead of hearing it from someone else
That is what i was thinking. My fiance is afraid that he is going to try to kill him. And i never told him i am engaged either. Soo yeah. Because he would be upset about that too.
Take him out to lunch. It might be better in a public place if you expect him to be mad. And just assure him that you are happy and going to be ok.
My mom just keep pushing me to tell him because i refuse to tell my brother and sister until i tell my dad. He is very hard headed.
Just call him grandpa and hopefully he will get the hint :)
