Is it bad to have a baby/newborn around a dog??? Would it affect the baby in a bad way?

I've actually read studies where children with pets have few allergies and colds. My daughter is 3 and has spent everyday with our two dogs and has very rarely been sick and has never had any issues. My one word of advice would be to make sure you know how your dogs will react with baby before you leave them in the room with baby alone... Babies can stress a dog out which cab cause them to panic if you're not there to calm them

As long as the dog is up to date on all shots and is well trained then I don't see the issue my baby will be around one.. And the only thing my doctor has said about pets is that me nor the baby should be around a litter box

I've got three dogs and a cat and they've always been around my son. As long as your dog is vaccinated baby should be fine unless baby is allergic.

There are many zoonotic infections  may affect your baby
I think it is better for you and your baby to be away from him
