Don't Eat Deli Meat?

Dr said not to really eat deli meat but of course I'm fat & I'm sitting here eating salami like there is no tm & hot cheetos & a big cup of V8. I don't think this is bad. It tastes so good lol

Most prepackaged meats (including subway) are "precooked" prior to packaging specifically to kill bacteria. So not eating deli meat, in America anyway, is redundant. So is "heating it up" before hand.

The elderly, pregnant women, newborns and adults with a lower immune system are more prone to contracting this bacterium.

Listeria is a bacteria that is in deli meats. It's usually always there but affects pregnant women differently. It can cause harm to the baby. Literally can go to the baby through the placenta. You can eat deli meat, you should just heat it to steaming to kill that bacteria first. I read someone on here has eaten it without heating it, just know you're not her. And every pregnancy is different. In my opinion it is well worth heating it if it will benefit my son in the long run by lowering the chances of harming him .

With my daughter I literally ate a cild cut 5 $ ft long from subway every day for a month. If you use your brain and keep an ear out for potential outbreaks theres no harm. But once a bad thing has happened to a pregnant woman drs have to advise against it for the sake of covering their own butts and women take it absolutely to heart instead of doing their own research. Listeria already exists on deli meat. We are already exposed to it. But theres a chance if the meat has been improperly handled that the listeria can overpopulate on the neat and get us and the baby sick. So its up to you but seriously,  women havr had way more successful pregnancies by not being over paranoid and going crazy over the dos and donts some drs claim are right and others claim are wrong than women who sit there and obsess to the point they are in and out of ths hospital every other day over paranoia. Just use your personal judgment.

You only need to heat it up for 10 seconds to kill off the listeria. It's literally still cold after 10 seconds.

I was told to heat it up until it is steaming. There is something called Listeria that you can get from eating deli meat that isn't heated up when you're pregnant.
