9 year age gap

Anyone else with a big age gap? I was 19 when I had my son and he'll be 9 when I have my nextnext (I'll be 28)... My little sister and I have a 7 year gap... We seemed ok but everyone I talk to seems so shocked.

There is a 10 year age gap between me and my brother n sister. . I always hated it! I was the third n last child.  I was so lonely! My mom never gave me any attention after I was 5. . It probably wouldn't have been so bad if I had another sibling close in age. I tell my family members all the time if you have a gap that wide in age, at least have 2 kids. I was so lonely ,when I think about it hurts my heart:(

I had my son when I was 19 and now I'm 29 having my second a girl and my son is going to be 10 in july. My sister in law has two that are 14 year age gap so I always thought my two with a 10 year gap wasn't so bad

I am pregnant with my first so idk what that's like, BUT I have siblings that are very far apart in age from me. My youngest sibling is 3 and my oldest is 31 lol. And I'm 20. ***** not growing up with some of them, but I don't find it strange.

I'm 18 and the youngest in my family. The oldest is my brother and he's 28. So it's more common than you think :)

I agree with newjulymom! I always felt like the babysitter and that really bugged me! As long as your not consistantly putting your son in that position, it shouldnt be an issue. Just always gotta remember hes a kid as well...even into the teenage years

In a way yes bc i grew up with a brother who was 2 years older and it was awesome to always have some one to.play with, but at the same time a biiig no because my parents had my little sister when i was 13 and it has been awrsome helping take care of her and we are best friends. The only problem was that i felt more like a baby sitter who always had to watch her no matter what more than her sibling at times. But now she is 5 almost 6 and i love it

This is soo weird because it sounds like your me from the future lol. Im 19 and gonna have a son and my little sister and I are 7 years apart :p I honestly dont think its weird at all. I enjoyed having the age gap of 7 years with my sister because I felt like I was suppost to be more grown up and help out. I was 10 when my second little sister came and that gave me even more responsibility. I watch videos of back then and it doesnt look like I had to "grow up" however, but I remember always feeling like that and loving to help out. Plus it kept me away from drugs and stuff because I didnt want my sisters to be influenced into it. Sorry...this is really long but just wanted to give my view on it :)
