Dreams while pregnant

How many of you had strange dreams about things going wrong once the baby arrives?

I am 30 weeks"ish" pregnant with my first so I have NO experience breastfeeding whatsoever.. I woke up last night in tears and remember in my dream, I was trying to breastfeed, but the baby wouldn't do it, he just kept falling asleep? It was so odd.. I am now super freaked out that it is foreshadowing for feeding problems to come or that I am subconsciously putting a lot of pressure on myself to breast feed and be successful at it and I didn't realize I was so set on it?? My attitude on breast feeding is that I will try it and hope for the best.. Apparently I secretly REALLY want it to work out!? Am I crazy? Are odd dreams normal during pregnancy?

My dreams were usually about having a BOY when all the sonograms said GIRL back when I was pregnant with each of my girls. I was terrified that I'd have all this pink stuff and not be able to return it!

Another dream I'd have often was that I'd give birth to a daughter AND a son (twins) and the nurses not letting me leave the hospital because we didn't have a carseat for the baby boy.

Crazy dreams are normal, but usually doesn't mean anything!  You may subconciously be putting pressure on yourself about breastfeeding, BUT  all babies have troubles at first, sometimes the nipple is too big, or the boob is too full, but they catch on pretty quick!  The only way you may have some troubles is if you have an inverted nipple, they say it's harder, but i've seen people do it.  ALSO  when you finally get your baby and start breastfeeding just remember they can sense tention in you and it'll cause them not to want to eat.

I keep having crazy dreams but only one had to do with me being pregnant and in that case I was a doctor (really smart and successful) and pregnant, AND my husband was leaving me!!!

Other than that, my dreams are more like nightmares where I can't lock the house doors and there is a killer outside...I'm at a creepy hotel like the bates motel from psycho with the entire third grade from my school and I am trying to get them to safety/leave the place and they are all over the place and I can't save them...It is all about safety!  SO my psyche thing is keeping the baby safe.

But crazy dreams are supposed to be very normal during pregnancy!

I had the craziest dreams... I kept dreaming that I would give birth and Aspen would be a cat or a dog and I would wake up crying because I just wanted to feel her skin (if that makes any sense). I also would dream of being kidnapped and handing Aspen off to someone and knowing I would never see her again. The last dream I can remember is that I was in a coma and I woke up and had already given birth months before and missed Aspen's baby stage but that she was just as beautiful and perfect as I imagined her... but then I felt a kick in my dream in my tummy and it changed to that people were trying to trick me into taking this other girl and even though she was "perfect" I just wanted my baby. They were all super random and very upsetting. I had them almost every night. I would get a dream journal and write them all down... they are some of the most vivid dreams you will ever have.

I had a dream when I was pregnant that my Mom died, it was so vivid. DB actually woke me up because I was sobbing in my sleep. I couldn't stop crying the whole day, even after I talked to my Mom.

I have had dreams lately - where I woke up so upset because I was worrying about Landen and my DH had to reassure me that it was just a dream. I am 36 weeks pregnant (tommorow) - and this happened about a month or so ago so about 30 - 32 weeks or something. It happened more than once  and I had strange dreams there for several nights.

I had them right before my wedding, that the dress wouldn't fit, or that I wouldn't make it on time ;)  Its just subconcious worries.  You'll be fine, just don't give up easily, I mean its a natural thing so it can't be rocket science, just go with the flow.
