I'm having the same issue (my son just turned 6 months old on the 13th).....Mine (but you shoud still have yours checked) is my sciatic nerve...It's teriible at times...and comes and goes....And like you said....sometimes it's scarey to hold the baby!  Best of luck to you! (If it is your sciatic nerve, there are exercises that you can do to relieve the pressure on the nerve when you have flare ups)

Megmil~ A pinched nerve is also known as Sciatic pain and it HURTS. :) It feels like electric shocks going down your butt or leg... I deal with it everyday. But, I used to have some sciatic pain that was more tingling.

This happens often. A call to your doctor and an exam should help clear up what's gone wrong.

I had this same problem until my youngest son was a year old. When I had my epideral they hit a nerve in my back that traveled down my left leg and eventually it worked itself out and there is not much that they can do about it... But megmil is right... you need to call your doc and find out exactly what is going on :)

I think you should call your doctor. It could be any of those things. And if it's the Mirena causing you problems you maybe need it removed ASAP. A pinched nerve would most likely cause numbness I think not pain. I suppose it could but I would think you'd experience numbness more than pain. Call your doctor. If the pain suddenly gets worse or you get a fever or anything else going on you should go to the ER.
