Due date accuracy

So I'm due May 12th but everyone seems to think he'll come around April 27th which I hope he does. A lot of my friends have had their babies two weeks before their due date as well. Has anyone here ever had this baby two weeks early?

A due date is just an estimate from the start of your last Period to 9mo. Its hard to say when exactly a woman conceived so doctors go by the start of your mentrual cycle. Not many actually deliver on their due date. But some do. With my first i was 38wks. With my second I was 37wks. & this pregnancy I'm 19wks 5 days & my anatomy scan showed that I was 17/18wks or baby is on small side. At my next appt my due date may change.  Who knows.

My doc counted my 40 weeks for day of conception which was 2.5 weeks after my LPM so I go by the day that falls right in between the two due dates

I went into labor on my due date and my son arrived the next morning - statistics show that for most people their first baby arrives after the due date.

Im due May 11th. But, I don't count down to the exact due date. I count down to 37 weeks and then say he can come any day after that. I gave birth to both my boys before my due date. 37 weeks with my 1st,  my water broke. 38 weeks with my 2nd, I was 5cm. I'm truly taking it easy for the next few weeks,  I don't want him to come any time soon.
