Early Labour?

I am almost 36 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing contractions since monday afternoon (its now wednesday morning). They arn't overly painful, i have a high tolerence to pain since ive been having gallbladder attacks throughout pregnancy which are VERY painful. The contractions are about 3-7 minutes apart and about 42-55 seconds each. I went to the DR monday night and they checked my cervix which was still intact and long. They said it could be the start of early labour and it could take hours/days/or even weeks. Im still having contractions, some are more painful then others, still irregular, i can sleep through the pain but throughout the night almost with every contraction ive had to get up to pee. Does this seem like im getting anywhere or is this gonna take awhile yet? I have a DR's app. tomorrow but want to get some opinions!. Thanks

It could be a UTI - when you go to the dr ask them to check your urine... It could also be braxton hicks or early labor - I would call your dr just to let them know what is going on... good luck!
