Hey, ladies! Thanks for the reassurance. It really helped. I had another beta today and it went from 208 to 530 in 48 hrs. Woohoo! I'm so relieved. I tend to freak out too much. I have a viability scan on June 5th but I'm not going to worry too much about it.
Angella-Yes, ivf is expensive! We had to pay about $14,OOO for everything. The ivf was about $8000, the meds were almost $3000 and we had to do ICSI which costs an additional $1100, plus $900 for freezing out additional embryos, and a little more for tests. It is a very intense and involved process. It it 2 weeks on birth control (I was on it for a month) then a month of stim shots (combination of Lupron, 2 types of FSH, and progesterone). Then, the egg retrieval is a minor surgery and then the transfer two weeks later. Lots of needles, ultrasounds, and blood work. But, mostly its emotional. I just prayed that everything went perfectly and it didn't. But we got the outcome we wanted! I'm so excited! It was a lot but it was all worth it and even if it didn't result in a pregnancy, I wouldn't have regretted the experience. Sorry this is so long! Good luck!
Your numbers look GREAT! HCG levels typically double every 2-3 days and yours essentially doubled in 2 days.
Congratulations!
The good news is that your levels are increasing. Not all womans levels will double yet will go on to have a healthy pregnancy. My opinion- I think that this is a viable pregnancy. Try not to worry about it and wait until you go back to get them read again. Stressing only causes problems for your little bean so you should relax as much as possible. I wish you the best with this pregnancy! Keep us updated on how it goes.
Really interested. Sorry using my phone
