Worried

I had my last period September 8th through the 13th. On the 19th of September, my boyfriend and I had sex with a condom but it broke right as he came. I’m not on any birth control. We immediately went and got the Next Choice pill. I took the first one no more than two hours later, and took the second one 12 hours after the first. I experienced some bleeding and light spotting that first day, and then again about a week later. Within the last week, I’ve experience symptoms similar to starting my period such as breast tenderness, irritability, and small stomach pains. Today is October 4th and as of about two days now, I started to have a dark brown/black discharge with some red in it. I’m also experiencing minor cramps. I’m supposed to start my period sometime this week. Is this implantation bleeding, a side effect from Next Choice, or a light period caused from menstrual changes from Next Choice?

so as an update, the light bleeding/brown discharge turned into what was my regular period flow and color. last about a week and has ended now. i feel pretty certain that this was my period. does anyone think i should still be worried? or that i should still take an hpt?

it sounds a little too much to be implantation bleeding so may be menstrual changes with the pills. See what happens over the next week or two. if you are concerned, have a chat with your doctor or come back on this site as there are many people who can help you with advice :) xo
