Early contractions/:

I work the night shift at a hospital. I worked last night and this morning a few hours before getting out I started getting contractions. They weren't too bad or close together but as the morning went on they started getting really strong and closer together. I am 30 weeks so it scared me to go into preterm labor! I came home and called my doctor and they said if they get closer together to go to the labor and delivery so they could monitor me. So now as long as I'm laying down I dont get them but if I getoup and start walking around or am on my feet then they come back. Why is that? I'm fine laying down but get contractions if I'm on my feet. Any advice?!

Make sure you drink plenty of water. If you're dehydrated than labor will progress quickly. I would suggest you have someone pick up Dasani water which has magnesium and it relaxes your uterus muscles.

Good luck Sweetie, please Relax and stay hydrated♥

I agree ^ normal contractions should not stop or ease just because you are resting. The 30wks point is typically when most mothers become aware - or more aware - of BH. Pump lots of water and take some tylenol. Im betting that will help.

Sounds like braxton hicks to me i used to get the alot i would think i'm going into early labor best thing that helps them to stop is to lay on your left side or starting drinking alot of juice and water even a warm bath can help and that's why they start back up because your walking you might be dehydrated i hope it stops for you because your still really early feel better
