Ease my breastfeeding vs formual worries!

OK well my son was 9 lbs 10 oz at birth. His blood sugar was low so I breastfed right away hoping the collostrum would bring it up, it didn't so I gave permission for a little formula. Well the first time didn't bother him any and he was latching on great only on my right side (I have a tumor in my left breast and it messes with my nipple and wont let it stay out so he could latch.) Well at two days old started wanting food not just the collostrum and I hadn't produced any yet. He had already lost 14 oz and the pediatrician at the hospital said she was worried and wanted him to nurse for a bit then have formula after. Well in trusting her I did so and now he wont latch at all :((( I am so upset! I nursed both my older boys for weeks and they did great til I ran outta milk. I am now producing so much milk with this one and just wish he'd nurse instead of me having to pump :( its so sad for me. Anyway I pump all the time and he eats it from a bottle. Well he's wanting so much food that I give him a little formula before bed. I am wondering if this will effect anything???

bigger babies tend to lose abit more weight before they start gaining it again, dont worry too much about that, just feed him when he wants dont do it every 3 hrs etc, just demand feed, he will let you know when he's hungry :)

in the end he probably will choose formula, also I dont think that your milk supply will keep up as long with just pumping, I would really try to re-introduce the breast  back to him if you want him having breast milk for as long as he can

Sorry just saw the above post, thank you!
I mean I pump even when he's not hungry, I pump every 1-1:30 hours. So IDK :/ we have TONS of milk to where my husband is afraid it'll go bad before he can eat it :/ I have to get freezer bags.

Like is it bad to give formula AND breast milk? Can it make it to wear he wont want my breast milk? And as far as having to pump over nursing, will it lessen my supply?

it may affect your milk supply as formula take longer for babies to digest so he will go abit longer until the next feed, he is still young so if you want him back on your breast it isnt to late, just keep trying, when he first wakes for a feed, give him the bottle so hes not super hungry, then switch over to your breast and let him finish his feed that way, then slowly reduce the time he's on the bottle and increase the breast time, it will probably only take a couple of days to do the switch :)
