Effects of marijuana during pregnancy RELAX its just a question

I know some mothers can't wait to bash someone, or point out ignorant questions with rude or smart remarks. So please don't comment things like I'm a bad mother, because no parent is perfect.

Now to my question.........

Me and my bf live together, he occasionally smokes weed,  usually he goes outside but last night it was oddly cold. So his *** smoked in the bed next to me while I was sleep. I woke up feeling fine. But I wonder if the baby was effected.

Your fine. Cannibus actually isn't even harmful. Its just known to be so the government can keep their 'war on drugs' there are no known harmful effects on marijuana just beneficial things. Hell it even helps with morning sickness. I took it once as a last resort cause i could not stop vomiting even when there was nothing left in me and after on hit ibhaf no more morning sickness for the next few hours

Its also puts ur baby at higher risk of preterm labor and also being born addicted to marijuana after birth. The lack of oxygen increases risk of miscarriage and low birth weight

I smoked up until 36 weeks and my doc estimated that my baby is 8 pounds, hes always had a strong heart beat, and he moves around just fine. It actually helped with a lto of my aches and pains and my HORMONES. I was fricken crazy sometimes when i didnt smoke. Since i stopped i hurt way more and im lazier. It also helped when i didnt wanna eat.

I believe weed is fine! I personally don't smoke it but lots of my family members did when they were pregnant!
My mom smoked weed her entire pregnancy with my brother & I and really were perfectly fine,.no health problems or while lives. So that my opinion! So second hand smoke will do  nothing to your baby!! :)

I would ask your doctor.  I think if you smoke it is more of a hazard as any drug can cause issues in development, even tobacco.  so, doctors will obviously recommend that a woman not smoke during pregnancy.  But second hand smoke is probably more along the lines of the first poster.  The same as being around second hand cigarette smoke.  Not great but not like smoking it yourself.  Once should be fine.  good luck dear

It might not effect everybody the same way. Its just that chances of that happening is higher than nothing at all.

I know a lot of people who smoked and their kids  (up to age ten) are perfectly normal.

Well one time shouldnt hurt you, but it can lead to low birth weight. Also, babies have been born and shown signs of withdrawl, and non age-appropriate behavior, meaning they are not responding as they should. Studies have also proven that it can lead to dulling of the learning center in the brain. A large study was completed not to long ago :o

No. Even if u were smoking it the only effect is lack of oxygen to the baby. Being that it was secondhand smoke it didnt effect your baby at all, you still got oxygen.
