FTM, need advice

So, when I went shopping for my baby girl, some very nice women told me about swaddleMe blankets. She told me that she never got any sleep with her baby before she got some because he would always wake himself up by hitting his face. So, I got some and now I feel better because it lessens lose blankets in the crib and such. And I know your supposed to lay your baby on there backs when its time for bed but I am so terrified of my baby spitting up during the night and not being about to breath. Obviously laying her on your stomach is an even worse idea because she could suffocate a lot easier. I feel stupid asking, even talking about it but I'm seriously concerned. I don't know what my question is exactly, just would like for someone to tell me if its okay for her to be on your back, all swaddled up

If the positioned you are referring to is similar to a nap nanny then don't get one! They have been responsible for so many infant deaths. As for your fear of baby spitting up at night, it happens, but baby won't choke. The body naturally wakes itself up enough and turns the head if its going to vomit, so you'll most likely just have messy crib sheets and need a PJ change but that's about it

Okay I'll be looking into the cushion. I have a cuddle Me cushion thing you lay the baby in and it kind of keeps her slightly propped up.

It is ok, thats the best position and I swaddled my last son until he got big enough to break out of the blanket lol im on my third boy and I will be swaddling him and laying him on his back too..kept a fan turned on in the room the baby sleeps in, not pointed directly at her just to keep the air in the room circulating..I always did that after hearing its believed to help prevent S.I.D.S..your baby will be fine im sure try not to worry yourself

Yes or they sell this little thing that u place the baby in the middle nd it has 2 cushions on the side. . That way you can place the baby on its back but also kinda on its side. .. the cushions are tight enough so it really secures the baby from rolling on its face or belly.. idk what its called but I used it for 2 of my kids and will be doing it for this one. Im 35 wks... my doc recommended it with my son and ive loved it since
