FTM question

So I plan to breastfeed but was just wondering when is it the right time to feed baby whole milk or juices or baby food...cuz at first for awhile babies can only have strictly breast milk or formula (which ever you prefer) right?

When I felt my child was ready to try something I started her on it. I gave her mashed up bananas at 4 months old and progressed from there. I just barely gave her juice for the first time and she is 11 months old. I haven't started her on whole milk but I did have her try a little taste of 2% but I won't actually give her any until her 1st birthday. When you feel it is the right time go ahead and try. Your baby will let you know when they are ready.

Most books say baby food at 4-6 months, so I always introduce it around 5/6.  As for juice, it really has nothing for baby so my doctors always ask how much I give my kids, even at their 2 yr appt, and the answer they always want is none.  My first waited a long time but I p rolly start juice around 16 months with my second.  Milk you usually start at a year when you are slowing them down on breastmilk or formula.  :-)

If you go through WIC they tell you when it is a good time to start all of that at your appointments.

My second son is 4 months old and has been on baby food for about a month and my oldest we started him on juice at 6 months started giving him sippy cups occasionally starting at the same time and by 10 months he was fully on sippy cup and whole milk because the formula was no longer filling him up he was eating every 2 hours

My sister started my nieces on juices & cups around 10 months & whole milk around a year. The baby foods they have at wal mart planned out with babys growth. Like if they can sit up already you can feed them a certain kind etc..

Just depends. My bfs sister has a 5 month old and they OCCASSIONALLY mash up a french fry for her to nibble,  or suction a little bit of soda in a straw and let her catch dribbles. Shes on jar food now, and still takes bottles of milk (though she is formula fed due to mastitis). Dont know if this helps or not. Sorry im trying though!
