FTM seeking advice

I'm a first time mom. And obviously my husband is doing this for the first time too. I have no family support. I said don't have them in my life at all it's going to be just my husband and I and my child's life. So, can anybody help me with suggestions as to what I need to buy for my unborn child and advice about being a first time mom I'm completely clueless and I have no idea what I need to do. I'm not going to be having a baby shower or anything like that. So, I'm going to be buying everything for my child. I want to be the best mother possible. At this point I feel like I would be a good parent but I really am seeking some directions here. Thank you.

I'm from iowa. And I know what you mean with dr. I love my dr that did my csection with my daughter. She was all about giving me all the chances to go natural and was never pushy. The dr I saw last time doesn't listen well. I want to do vbac and he didn't even look into it. Just said no.

:) thank you. I really appreciate it. I'm sure I'll be fine, it's just really nerve-racking cuz I want to be the best parent possible. I live in the United States and I really feel that doctors can be very corrupt as it's basically a Monopoly Here. I sincerely would love to move to Canada where the healthcare system appears to be more up standing. Anyway, I don't want to be involved with doctors very closely unless they tell me I'm high risk . I want to do an at home birth and do things natural for the health of the baby.

You guys will do fine. Read some books and talk to your dr. As long as you love your baby and each other and make your family a priority you will be fine. When my daughter turned one I remember looking at her and just smiling thinking of how scared I was the day we brought her home!

Crib, car seat, diapers, bottles, wipes, lots of onesies. I liked sleepers that zip up for when my daughter was little. Kept her warm. I would check 2nd hand stores if you're not against them. Most of my daughters clothes are 2nd hand. They grow so fast, I'd rather save my money for formula and diapers.
