Alright ladies! So I just found the receipt for my engagement ring!! :)

My Dh didn't realy propose...he just stort of brought it up in an email. Then we discussed when to do it and a few days later we were at the courthouse getting our marriage license and seeing the JOP. I didn't get an engagement ring until about 5 months later...that's also when we got our wedding rings. Not very romantic, but here we are 11 1/2 years and 5 more kids later!!!

I didnt get one either! LOL we just agreed we wanted to be 2gether and be married and we both wanted kids! Well the date i wanted that date passed and that weekend we were talking about how things were not going right at the moment so we should hold off getting married! Us fine just i meant financial stuff but that Monday he said get up get dressed! Me im like Why? i dont wanna be yet? LOL hes like cus were going to the courthouse to get a marriage license! So i guess it kinda was a suprise! I had already prepped myself for ok not the time were waiting! So that was Monday and Friday we were married! I did get lucky though the JP was marrying at a beautiful park cus of holiday time so i got to wear my dress do our vows take pics everything i wanted! We're celebrating our 4yrs wedding anniversary next Wednesday! Cant believe time has flown!
My husband proposed to me at the most random time. It was the anniversary of my grandma's death (1 year) and I was lying on our bed upset and he came over and held me saying how he wanted to take care of me for the rest of our lives and that he would do anything to make me happy. I got my ring on valentines day about 4 months later, and he got his 15 minutes before we got married.

I was with DH when he bought my engagment ring. After he bought it he wouldn't let me know when he was gonna give it to me...he waited about two weeks before he gave it to me. He took me to the river/park where he asked me to be his girlfriend and proposed to me there. It was sweet!
Lol. I know its gonna be more of a funny momment then a romantic one with us! We just are romantic we are like children! My eldest sister always makes fun of us!
My husband proposed after 4 month of dating. He took me to East Coast to meet his family and spend Christmas with them. I could tell everyone was being little secretive, but did not have any clue what was going on. Two days after Christmas he took me to Central Park. There was a street called Bridal Lane. We walk through it and then he stopeed me in the middle of the field and popped the question. when we got back to his parents house I found out it had been planned month in advance and they had arranged engagement party for the next day. He had bought and mailed the ring to them before I got there. Now we have been married for 8 years.

Wow. you needed a car but he got you a ring instead??? I think that is sooo romantic. Think about it... Aren't men usually more interested in cars than love & feelings??? Awww. He wants you more than a car! yay! You are more important to him than necesseties. How sweet.

LOL so I guess you didn't get a new car then. I didn't know at all that we were getting engaged. We had talked about getting married, but it came as a total shock. He took me on a surprise trip for my bday to new orleans and proposed there.

DH popped the question day before Thanksgiving in 2005 -- I knew we were heading in that direction because we talked about it (DH was so so so allergic to my cats so I moved them to my parents in September '05) but I thought we were going to wait till summer to get engaged. He asked me to take a walk with him and his parents' dog, it was FREEZING, we walked up a hill top in his childhood hometown and he had had his dad hide the ring in the mouth of the first stuffed animal he ever gave me on top of that hill....of course his dad had taped the ring box inside the mouth so well it looked like a BOMB - LOL...I backed away from it when I saw all the tape instead of guessing what was going on ;) he asked me to marry him on one knee and eventually we got the tape off and the ring on the finger. It was cute, corny and a great memory.
His best friend just proposed to his gf. They were in vegas for her 21st birthday. They were on the highest floor of some building. And they were taking pictures when he went down on one knew in the middle if one! It was so romantic! But they've been living together since she was a freshman in high school. And I can't stand her and neither can DB so he's kinda like idiot! Lol

Haha yea, DB bought me a promise ring 5 years ago and he was more romantic with that, then he was the engagement ring, with the promise ring he actually gave it to me and said I love you. and stuff, the engagement ring, we were in the car going home, and he just handed it to me, and said here. I was like okay thanks! lol but i complained about it, so a week later he took it from me and actually made a proper proposal. that was about 5 months before I got pregnant, then 2 months after our son was born, we called it off.. hopefully we can think about marriage in the next couple years again, if everything works out this time

Around December of my final year in university, he got a ring (i had picked it out) so obviously i knew he was going to propose and he asked my dad to marry me.. He had a grand plan but i ruined it when I tripped and almost went head first down a fish ladder, then i threw a fit as I was scared ******** and my hands were cut up and got back in the car before it could happen. I didnt know he was going to propose at that moment. He ended up proposing on the last day of the trip in a less romantic way but it was still amazing none the less.. We were together for 4 years at that point.. We are now going on our 7th year together and two years happily married.. he is my best friend.

My husband proposed with a ring when I told him I was pregnant last lear. I was really scared to tell him. Turns out he had alreadt bought a ring. He had made a plan about 2 weeks before for us to go out with friends & he was going to ask me then. I had told him that night I didn't feel like going & sent him out without me! way to blow my own party.
That is so excited!! My DF and I had talked about it for a while and he would always ask me and I would always tell him no. I just didnt feel like when he would ask that it was the right time. Then about a month ago I finally told him that I was ready and that I think we should do it. We are getting married in less than 2 weeks now. It will be Friday Nov. 12th, I want to do it before the baby comes.

When i got engaged, DB just handed me the ring. it wasnt romantic at all! lol.. but now were not engaged anymore lol
:) I'm sure he's going to this weekend on vacation. I'm really excited! I need to stop thinking bout it! I actually have my fingercrossed he doesn't tonight we are going to dinner with my dad and itd just be weird bc I just started see him again since 5 yrs ago and my sister who I can't stand and is a royal B*tch will be there too....

no, I had no clue my DH was going to propose..It was 3 days before Christmas, and we went to a local place, because his cousin was in town(should have known something was up) but, anyways...It was him, me, my mom, my boss, and her husband, his cousin and a couple of friends..well, he walked up to the DJ(it was karoake) so I had assumed he was going to sing, and then he started talking and asked me to go up there, I was so embarrased thinking he was about to serinade me lol..well they drug me up there and low and behold he proposed in front of everyone, there was a bunch of people we didnt know there as well...It was so AMAZING and SWEET..after that, the guy sang "you had me from hello" so that became "our" song...But honestly I had no clue....
OH i wanted to add that we did a courthouse wedding too....we were engaged for 4 1/2 years while I finished college and our wedding was the month after our miscarriage so we were sunk from medical bills...so we plan to do a big party for our 5th anniversary (which is only 2 years away...our 3-year wedding anniversary is tomorrow :) ).
when DH proposed we agreed not to tell anyone until he had gotten the ring and asked my father's permission....he asked what sort of ring I wanted and I told him completely traditional. he bought a way bigger diamond than I thought he would though, LOL. He asked my father and "officially" proposed all in one night because he said he was too terrified to wait.
he ACTUALLY proposed for the first time when we were lying in bed cuddling one night...he hugged me and said "can I keep you?" and I said "of course" and the next day he mentioned something about the wedding and I was like "OH that was a proposal???" it was kinda funny....but his ACTUAL (official) proposal was really romantic. he had just come from asking my father's permission and was driving me to my parents' so that I could go to an art gallery opening with them (my parents are artists) and he pulls the car over into the parking lot of my dorm, goes "I can't wait any more I'm too nervous!" ran around the car while it was still on, and got down on his knee right there in the parking space, lol. everyone around us cheered.
