Also, there is this handy thing called a calender that does require some basic counting skills however, you could just count backwards and find the date they are using.

How many times are you going to ask this question today?? Why don't you just call your doctor and ask them directly if you don't believe the people on here???
Doctors go by LMP unless you had a dating ultrasound sometime before 12 weeks where they measure the size of the baby and that tells them how far along you really are. They become less accurate after that. For me, my LMP was off by 6 weeks (I was still breastfeeding and skipped a period) so they said I was 10 weeks but was actually only 4 when I found out. I kept track of when we had sex though so I knew our conception date.
