First pregnancy

This is my first pregnancy and I just recently found out that I will be 5 weeks on feb 24, I am a cigarette smoker as well but I quit as a result of pregnancy. Is my baby in any danger from smoking in the four weeks that I didn't know I was pregnant?? Please answer !

Some women smoke through their entire pregnancy and end up with healthy babies. Kudos to you for quitting cold turkey!  I know that must have been hard. I really wouldn't worry to to much about it. Write it down to ask your doctor at your first appointment.  Since you stopped so fast I'm sure you will be just fine :) Congrats!

Im sure yo baby will be fine.the important thing is you quit!. Good job momma. Smoking can have long and short term effects on an unborn child through adulthood. The sooner you quit the less likely it will have harmful effects. Just do your best to stay off. For your unborn baby when you do smoke it's heart rate increases and has a difficult time breathing. It's like breathing through a small straw for hours. That feeling of can't breathe and not getting enough air. So its really important you do not give into temptation and your baby will be fine. Just bring it up at your next app
