For the ladies with or going to have girls...just a question to hear others and be silly..
Okay so i dont know if your guys hubby's/fiancees/boyfriends are like my hubby but ever since he found out we were having ourselves a little princess when we talk about her growing up he always makes those comments. You know the ones about her dating. Whats has your hubby/fiancee/boyfriend said about when she grows up and starts dating?
Mine has says hes gonna be one of those daddys sitting on the porch with a shot gun when the boy comes to pick her up. And that not only is he going to be afraid of him all of her friends are. He says hes gonna be one of those daddys that acts all mean and though to scare her friends. Hes a silly head...But i just thought that i would put this is out there and see what some of them have said.

We were watching Street Customs (customize cool cars, etc.) and they put a GPS device on this kids car. They surprised the parents with it. My husband said "we will be getting one of those on her car". It was just funny they way he said it and he was so serious - when I started laughing he's like "I'm not joking". So it'll be interesting to see. I know he'll be a great dad with a boy or a girl but I truly think that what everyone is telling me will be true - she will have him wrapped around her finger.
LOL My husband sid, their not dating UNTIL their married! I kind of looked at him funny, and said..."How does that work genious?!" LOL
I told my husband that our kids will go to private school where they have to wear uniforms ahaha! Because i'm not dealing with the cr ap I had to see at school with the other chics!
I think, I will let them do group dates when they get into High School! But I have to know everyone, and will know everything! I'm going to be extremely open with my kids. I was with my dad. I want them to beable to come and talk to me about anything and everything! So we'll have good rules, and they will respect it! =)
I think my kids can go ahead and decide on the tattoo's after they've graduated high school. I got one on my 18th birthday, lol...and then on my 19th....ahaha but my dad thought it was funny. And he was surprised that I atleast picked flowers, that I drew them all myself!

My husband sounds just like yours and we have 4 girls ages 7, 6, 3, and 18 months. I will be fighting for their rights, I can guarantee it :) He said they will never date and just live with us forever. Hmmm....I was like "NOT"!! But then he started the shotgun comments. He decided he would have a shotgun for each daughter.
But on a serious note, we have already been talking about rules when they go out and things like that. They won't be able to go out without the other one. We will have a buddy system. My first 2 girls are less than a year and a half apart. They are very close in age and it's actually like having twins. They are almost the same size and you can't do anything for one without doing it for the other.

And we will have kids over to our house versus having our kids going to others people's houses. Like if the kids want to spend the night together. That's fine, it will just be at our house for the most part. Things like this, we already talk about.

LOL!! Oh i am not going to let our daughter dress like a little sk@nk. But i bought this ADORABLE skirt a few weeks ago and i showed it to him and he was like "that skirt is TOO short" and i was like "shes not going to wear it long, the size is 6-9 months". He is actually a little more conservative then i am. Im kind of the wild one that dresses a little on the off side, but still a little conservative. But i like to show off my curves...im a little on the bigger side but hay he loves me that way so why not flaunt it...LOL!!
Yeah hubby's older and more conservative then me and has kind of been there done that that i am still getting out of my system. I love getting tattoos and i love getting piercings (ashiepooh i plan on getting our kids foot prints as well with there name and birthdate). He has one tattoo and i HATE it!! It's his ex wfies name and his daughter (dont mind the daughter, but the ex wifes kind of ruins the mood..if you know what i what i mean..lol) And he plans on getting a matching tattoo that i got a week after he left to go back to Iraq cause he was a little afraid to get it; doesnt like needles. But our daughter can get tattoos after she is 18 (that is what i say) and she can get her ears pierced when she is ready to get them pierced. But he stresses as well and shes not here yet. But thats what daddys do. and i tell him he doesnt have to worry cause i can tell she is a daddys girl cause when we get into little tiffs she kicks my butt..lol.

DB says he doesn't want a girl because he doesn't' want to have to kill a 16 year old boy LOL.

He always says when we see little girls out who are dressed inappropriately, See this is why i shouldn't have a daughter, I would beat her A** if she walked out of the house wearing shorts that short, I laughed and said honey someone is buying them for her! You should beat there A**! LOL

haha i have tattoos and piercings.....LOL But my tattoos are flowers, and then I have having more done of all my kids feet, and their names and such.. it'll be cute. My husband doesn't mind them on me, but he said our kids wont have piercings until their married and not in our house lol...

Awww! There's nothing wrong with piercings! My husband doesn't care if our girls get tattoos or piercings but they just cannot wear short skirts and have their cleavage hanging out. I'm a very modest and conservative person. Piercings are just unleashing my wild side! LOL!
Joy~ My hubby hasnt said anything like that but i know he feels it deep down inside. Because me i have my nose pierced, my tongue pierced and i have 2 tattoos and i plan on getting one for each child that i have. But hes not a huge fan of my piercings. He has actually tried to tell me that having my tongue pierced isnt good for the baby and making all kinds of silly reasons to take it out. But i know that he will NOT let our kids get anything like mo has. He has already said i have to stop because he doesnt want to have a tattooed and pierced up wife/mommy. But he caves with me, i give him the "honeybear sad face" and he caves...lol...

Every single father that is having/has girls does this! My husband is constantly saying, "My girls are NEVER going to do that when they're older!" When we got my tongue pierced last night he said, "They can get piercings, but they cannot dress skanky!" It's funny how protective they are of their little girls.
Ashiepooh~ Now that is FUNNY!!! Im gonna try to be the resonable one...im not sure how that is going to go because i will kill any boy that breaks my little girls heart. And if we have a boy and girl who breaks my sons heart. The chasity belts are HILARIOUS!!

My ex used to say that if we had a girl he was going to screen every single boy that wanted to take her out for a date and that she wouldn't be allowed near any boys until she was at least 16. Which now with our youth having children at 13 isn't such a bad thing. When I would buy her baby clothes before I popped he freaked out when I brought home a little jean skirt. He said no way was his daughter wearing something that short and skanky. I was like "come on" she's a baby... no way can any skirt be skanky. Haha. For the longest time my friends and I would crack up in stores when we would see a little baby in a skirt and whisper to one another.. "skank". No one ever heard us though and we were definitely just joking.
We are not having a girl however dh has had these same semblances about IF we had a girl. I think he clearly remembers how he and his friends were so he is relieved that we aren't having a girl just yet! He really wants to try for number two soon after our boy is born and he plans on raising our son to be his sister's watchdog if we have a girl =)
