Formula uk mums plz

Just wondering if yiu choose to formula feed your baby do u have to take formula to the hospital or will it be provided?

I think it depends on your region, Im nhs lothian in Scotland and all hospitals in my area provide it x

Im a ftm and not sure on this so im planning to take some of the premade cartons or a little tub of formula and bottles with me just incase

Not all hospitals supply so deffo best to pack ur own when i had my son they gave him sma even tho i told them the whole family was allergic to it i had formula powder wit me too but they said they had no hot water but then offered a cuppa which really did confuse us but yea take ur own and would suggest takin couple of cartons jus incase

Its best to check with your hospitalas it varies our hospital in essex doesnt provide formula and althought im breastfeeding ive packed the ready made bottles just in case as when i had my son the wouldnt give me formula when i couldbt feed him hubby had to go buy everything.

One girl had cow and gate, another had sma and the other had (is it aptimil?), that was just last week x

I breastfeed but i was the only one in my bay that was, the other 3 mums were formula, the midwifes offered them a choice of what type they wanted and provided them with it x

Th hospital priovide it for you. I plan on breastfeedin tho. But all my friends formula fed and got little btls at hospital.

I'm formula feeding and not bringing any to the hospital. They should provide it there.
