Awesome. Looks like we're doing everything right. I played a baby cry for him loud and when he fist heard it he did look kind of confused but when he heard it again and again he just walked away or just layed down. I think he just needs ro smell the blankets and auch

And yes exactly how rainbow said ALWAYS remember to reward them when they do it right. Key words like sit, no, yes, stay, come should all be well known to them. Always keep a little treat around I make frozen treats for my dogs and they know that they've done right when receiving one. Even when the freezer opens they all just sit lol

And start getting them in a routine now, same time for breakfast and dinner same time for potty breaks and play time so once the baby arrives they know the schedule

Start now. If you don't want certain behaviors it'll be easier to correct now. Like when holding the fake baby and the puppy jumps up you can correct that behavior. Basically the dog will start remembering when you have baby in your arms you require him to be calm and gentle. Just don't forget to praise when good is done. Alot of people consider training to be disipline only. Those kinda dogs will thrive with a little positive reinforcement. They're also very quick learners so you shouldn't have issues. If by end of October there are still behaviors you don't like and don't know how to correct bite the bullet and spend the money and find a trainer with experience. It's worth it

I have four huge dogs all under the age of two so they're still puppies.

Play baby crying videos (YouTube)
Buy a fake baby doll and walk around with it so they get use to it
Dogs go off smells so never bring the baby to the dog let the dog work his or her way to the baby.
Let the dog smell the nursing blanket onesies from which they wore at the hospital
I also use baby lotion and let my dogs smell my hands so he gets use to the smell.
But I'm still pretty nervous they're all wild except one she's pretty well behaved and listens
But I'm definitely making sure they go outside for a few hours to get worn out before they come back in and meet the baby lol
