Almost 35w and only gained 5 lbs!

I will be 35w on Thur. I went to the doc last Friday and I had lost 2 lbs, which set me back to a total of 5 lb weight gain at this point :( Has anyone else gained little weight like this and baby be ok? I eat and all that, so I dont understand. I noticed that I have lost weight in my face and top of my legs. My belly is measuring ok though, so thats good. Any one else? Thanks ladies!

35 wks and I've only gained 5 lbs to date as well. Dr's not concerned as baby is measuring right on track. I was worried at first because I eat all the time, all day long because of my GD and still the weight wasn't adding up. But if dr says it's okay, then I'll have to trust he's right. The only thing that bothered me about it recently was that at my last appt one of the nurses said "you've only gained 5 lbs so far" in this TONE. I just said "yeah, isn't it amazing?" LOL. Good luck, we're almost there!

I only gained 5lbs by my 30w mark... But I had hyperemesis and was very sick thru most of my pregnancy. it got to the point where my dr. said for me to eat whatever I could whenever I could....

Just continue taking your vitamins. The other posters are right... sometimes if you have it to lose, you will lose it before you gain anymore.

Well I am almost 27 weeks and have lost weight from my original weight.  Doctor said that for some people if you have the excess weight in other places on your body it might pull from there before your body starts adding on the additional weight.  I've lost the weight from my but and legs.... but the baby is measuring on schedule so the doctor is not worried.  My doctor lost 20lbs during her first pregnancy and her child is pefectly healthy....

I am worried that something is wrong, but with all the measurements being in the normal range.... there's not much to really worry about.  I guess we can consider ourselves lucky for not having to worry about losing all that baby weight afterwards!
