Pain - Pregnancy Related??

Hi girls,

I can't get to my GP today so thought I'd ask some questions from other people first!

I'm 6 months pregnant with 3rd baby.  A couple of weeks ago I had a sharp pain in the right side of my abdomen.  When I say pain, the only way to describe it is it felt like something had clamped it's jaws from my lower ribs to my hip about a third of the way across my belly and back!  I have a very high pain threshold but I was crying in pain and begging my dh to call an ambulance (he wouldn't wake up!!) but after about 15 mins the pain died.

So 2 days ago I started to get a dull ache in the same spot, but now more localised to just below and running under my lower ribcage, and more the back than the front.  It's an ache but turns in to a sharp stabbing pain when I cough or sneeze, and it's gradually getting worse.

The baby's moving around nicely and rolling over, so I don't think there is a foot jammed under there or anything.  Just wondering if any of you have experienced anything like this during pregnancy or if it's non-pregnancy related and I should get it checked out.

Best you see your doctor about it, that pain sounds very unpleasant

I agree with PJ - definitely  mention this to your doctor.
