Getting naked...

Ok, for you dirty minded ladies...NOT what you think. My son is 13 months old in a few days and he has recently started trying, and sometimes succeeding in removing his diaper. He's currently naked yet again, is this normal for his age? Anyone else with similar stories?

I think naked time is pretty normal.  I'm sure that he's just fed up with having a bulky hot diaper on all the time and he feels so free and fresh without the diaper on.  Just try to start teaching him to go potty when he needs to and that "naked time" is in the house only.
Maybe you could give him an hour every day for him to go naked that way he doesn't randomly do it.
Oh and BTW, little boys-todlers learn to play with themselves early...they get curious about their parts.= which is absolutely normal, part of his development, in case you catch him playing with his pipi don't freak out.

That's very normal, just be happy he isn't taking it off and smearing poo all over his crib when he is supposed to be sleeping....yeah, my son used to do that all the time. He would find every way to get his clothes off and poop right when wee put him down. I tried everything except tape his diaper on....but that was the next step if he didn't stop. Try cleaning crusted poop off of a crib and walls when you are three months preggo dealing with horrible morning sickness and migraines lol not fun!

One thing my friends did was put zip up jammies on their kid backwards, that way she couldn't figure out how to remove them lol.

He will grow out of it eventually :)

Very normal!

And as annoying as it is, shows he has great fine motor and gross motor skills for his age!

my little boy has recently started doing the same. He's 16 mnths old now. I think they do it for a number of reasons, maybe their uncomfortable in their diaper after a pee or a doodoo, maybe their just fascinated with their parts or want to "air out" lol. my son mostly does it after he's had a poop. so i think its out of discomfort that he does it. some also say its a sign their ready for potty. either way, your not alone! lol its pretty common.

I have the same problem with my 2 year old. I think that he is ready to start potty training and we are going to go get things to decorate his board (behavior/potty) and we even ordered him a new potty doll! LOL!

My 13 month old has taken her diaper off a few times.  I usually make sure she is wearing shorts or a onesie w/ snaps so it is less accessible.  Here is a link to a recent MH discussion you may find useful, if not disturbing!

By the way I usually let him run around in just a diaper unless we leave the house. He gets hot often, and gets a heat rash, so just the diaper keeps him cool.
