Getting stressed and upset over something stupid :(

Is it wrong to think this? Or am I over reacting :(
My husband has a daughter to a previous girlfriend that wasn't serious, he isn't on the birth certificate and he hasn't seen her over a year and a half. I wanted to be involved in her life because she is only a child and never asked to come into this world. His ex girlfriend wasn't happy about that so he hasn't spoken to her in a long time.
I found out I was pregnant and all I keep thinking of is once I have bub he won't love bub as much as he loves his first. I would hate to think he would push our child away or say something to hurt bub when it's older. It's so hard not to think of all this :( do I tell him how I feel or just see if it happens and deal with it then? :(

(In the last sentence above, the "her" was the child, not the mother.)

In other words, you are thinking that because he acts pretty indifferent to his first child, he will always act that way about any child of his?  It really has to depend on why he is indifferent.  Does he just generally dislike kids?  Or, does he not like his ex?  That is more likely to be it, kids are cute and most people don't hate them and would be interested in one that came from them as sperm donor.  Are you wondering this against the day you break up and you are in the position of ex?  (I hope not!  Hitting your husband with that idea would really drive him crazy.)

My guess is that he will like his new child, and would actually like his other child if the circumstances with the mom had been more favorable.  This does put you in a pickle as to wanting her to know she has a loving dad, unfortunately you can't do much about it now, but there might be chances down the road to build a half-sibling relationship for your child with her.
