I lost my job. . . .ill have less than 300 dollars (im paying off a dna test bill) and at the end I will have like 295 or something like that. My ex feels like he shouldnt have to pay me child support. . .I got told by a lawyer that I can still get child support through dhr. . . He wants joint custody and I also got told if I do that then he doesnt have to pay me. . . .I cant do that while im not able to work because if yall have been looking for jobs no one is gonna hire a pregnant girl. . . They just wont. . . .well he says if I get him for child support he will make my life HELL when baby is 3. . .because he can take me back to court. . . . Have any of yall been through this court battle? Or know anything about it?? :'( im going crazy. I feel like hes gonna take my son away from me or thats what hes trying to do. . . Advice please :'(

Sweetie please don't stress about his Threats. I put my ex on Child support as soon as I received my son Social Security Card. He was Cocky and refused to pay his $520 a month. It was Hilarious when he threatened to file a petition for modification. The judge Denied his request and order him to pay more. So regardless, if he doesn't pay, he will just owe you more money.

Apply for Food Stamps, Medicaid and WIC. Try to get as much support as you can while you're not working.

By the way, Child support court don't create a Time Sharing schedule. They are separate from Family Court. It can be a very Expensive process on his behalf. Think positive Sweetie, he's just trying to put fear in your mind, so you won't put him on CS. Joint custody is only for Married couples that are on the verge of divorce, so the child cam maintain the same life style.

Hunny I've been to court numerous times.. I have a 7yr old and 5yr old (both girls) and me and their dad have joint custody and he's the only one who pays child support. I know how you feel looking for a job and like you said ppl aint gunna hire a pregger chick lol I have primary placement so I think the placement is what determines who pays child support. I went after my kids dad cuz my girls deserve it and being as old as they are he's never really been around in their life.. like no calls or nothing on their birthdays. I have faith things will work out for you. Congrats :)

he still has to pay custody even if its joint. as much time as he gets depends on how much he has to pay. like if he spends more time with baby he pays less. but you will still get child support. if i were you id save text messages, voice mails, anything of him saying mean things that could help you a lot in court.

He'll have to pay child support regardless if he has any custody or joint custody.
As long as a dna test proves he's the father. ..The judge can make him pay.
my fiance has to pay child support and he doesn't have any custody.
He had joint custody and still had to pay the same amount.
