I had my daughter turned via external version at 38 weeks and it honestly didn't hurt at all. However before I got her turned they told me that only like 4% of babies don't turn before the 38th week. At 36 weeks they still have time and room so I wouldn't stress too much yet.

I have heard that first time mothers (pregnant) babies turn 80% of the time.  I think you still have time, my friend's baby turned 2 weeks before her due date then her water broke.  My doctor mentioned that if my baby were breach (which she isn't) that we could try and turn her, but I guess that's up to you.

Babies can turn themselves right up until the end.....so I wouldn't stress too much just yet.....But sweetangel7 is right, they can manually attempt to turn the baby.....But I would wait and see..the little bugger might suprise you!

If you really don't want a c-section, can't they try to manually turn the baby?!  Make sure you ask.  I have read other posts where they have done this successfully.  I have also heard that a lot of doctors will push the c-section because they get paid more for it rather than a vaginal birth....
