Can I dye my hair being 17 weeks pregnant?

I was told not too and that's been since day one. True it isn't proved to be harmful but it's not proven safe either. Honestly my rule of thumb is that if you think for a second you shouldn't do something, its better not to.

Absolutely just make sure the person you go to isnt a flake and doesnt bother calling you to tell you she cant make it to your appt that is 4 hours before your baby shower :) Thats what happened to me and my sister was irate since she was paying for it... We ended up pulling together what we could and used a toothbrush, crayola paint brush and kitchen foil... Didnt turn out half bad... I called it my redneck hair dying party... But yes its totally safe just make sure its ventilated. And my dr said its fine all thru out pregnancy. They dont normally put it directly on your scalp anyway so I am not sure if thats why some dr's say not to.

U can use any dye and there are some more natural dyes that r safer jusy use one without alot of chemicals, especialy amonia. Ur beter off going to a salon cuz the deal with all kinds of hair types and with stuborn hair our homones caus being pego even graying hair, they will know better as to what ur hair needs and how long for it all to take well. I did a major dye job shorty after I found out I was prego and used 3 diff colors at the salon I work at and my sister in-law has dyed hers afew times sice she found out and she due in a couple months. Ive seen a big diff in her soing it herself and it looked better and more natural done at the salon. Hope this helps

You can dye your hair while your pregnant my hairdresser said it doesnt harm the baby but it just might not take properly on your hair because of your hormones

Thanks for the reply. I have blonde highlights in my hair & I just want to dye my hair my natural hair color. It looks horrible not being kept up.

Yes u can.  If ur doing it yourself though, make sure ur in a well ventilated area
