Put baby to breast as soon as it is born. Feed the baby whenever however long it takes babies go through growth spurts every 2 weeks for the first 8 weeks so it will seem like for 3 days the baby is starving but it's only a feeding frenzy to help you produce more and to suit baby's growth. You can pump after feedings and store what you pump. Please if you don't pump much don't take it as your not making enough. You are the pump isn't as efficient as the baby. I also recommend you to read and take classes. Kellymom.. com. Is a great site. Also look into your local leche league group. Have a lactation consultant see you asap after the baby is born to help you with latching and to check for lip or tongue tie. Breastfeeding is wonderful and it takes a lot of will power and dedication. It's kind of hard at first because it's something that has to be learned. I had issues but my brothers girlfriend didn't. Just be prepared with knowledge and a lactation consultant and you will make it through. I breastfed my lo for 20 months. If you need help or have questions I can and will help you. I will also send links to your questions as reference.

You cant do anything until after the baby comes.  Your milk can take upto a week to come in but you will produce clostrom which is just pre milk. Best thing to do is just feed on demand once baby gets here and that will set your supply.
