Heart palpitations

I'm 22 weeks and I have horrible heart palpitations. It speeds up then skips and it especially happens when I lay down. I kinda start to panic and I have to sit up. Anybody know what I can do for it to stop or lessen up? I hate it so much

From what I just read heart palpitations are very common during pregnancy due to the extra workload. During pregnancy ur body pumps up to 50% more blood than usual! Wow

I have noticed this to. My heart will speed up at random times like when I lay down I can feel it in my throat. Almost feels like a panic attack. This has been happening throughout my entire pregnancy and I have written it off as the fact that my body is trying to pump more blood than usual. If it continues after pregnancyn im gonna have it checked out.
