Heartburn :(

I know heartburn is common, but I have tried EVERYTHING to get try to ease the pain of it. Everything over the counter that I am allowed to take I have tried it and it has failed :( I've changed what I eat, drink, what times I eat and everything. Does anyone have any idea of what could possibly help ease this terrible symptom? At this point I'll try anything! I'm 33 weeks today and my doctor told me its just going to get worse as the baby gets bigger :(

I keep reading a lot about vinegar, pickle juice, baking soda and water. Last night I was craving orange juice and I drank a huge glass of it before I went to bed and I didn't have any heartburn last night at all. I wonder if that did anything to ease it because I was having it before I drank it, but not after it. Thanks to everyone who has suggested things. I'm going to try everything I can :)

I use antacid soft chews. Rolaid use to be the only ones to make them but since you can't find rolaid brand anymore cvs started making them! They are the ONLY things that have ever worked for me pregnant or not. They work and they taste good :)

I heard milk of magnesium or a teaspoon of vinegar. Apparently the vinegar nuetralizes the acid.

I feel your pain I just posted the same thing like a week or so ago. Ive tried it all too and I'm just **** out of luck til the baby is born! One thing is people say milk but milk will make it worse! It actually softens your esophagus making it easier for the "acid" and burning feeling to rise!

I feel your pain! (even though, I do not have chronic heartburn.) What helps me is chewing a minty kind of gum...and zantac...The gum kind of "cools" it down, also chewing or sucking on ice helps me. I've heard about the pickle thing also but I haven't tried it because baby won't let me! lol Hope I helped! :)

I take zantac when its really bad. My obgyn okayed it because I also have gerd. Sometimes I can't swallow on top of bad heartburn. Maybe your Dr can recommend something.

I get sick when I drink white milk by itself. I've tried eating a small bowl of cereal with a lot of milk in it to try to increase my milk intake to see if that helps, but it doesn't. chocolate milk use to be a lifesaver for me, but now it's like it makes it worse. I read somewhere about drinking pickle juice. Does anyone know how that would work?

Does drinking milk do anything?  Unfortunately your baby is probably pushing up on your stomach and pushing the acid into you esophagus, so there may not be too much you can do.

Sorry, I know how much heartburn *****.  *hugs*

I was on that a few years ago (I have a chronic heartburn condition, but no medicine seemed to work so I stopped talking to my doctors about it) and it didn't help at all. Almost everything in pill form, I have tried over the years and everything antacid wise I have tried since I've been pregnant and nothing wants to work :(

Antacids no longer work. It is like my body has grown immune to them :(
