Heartburn

This is the 5th night I've woken up throwing up because I've been getting heartburn. I'm soon to be 36 weeks. I've been taking tums and Pepcid OTC and it's not doing anything. Is there something else I should be trying? I'm scared one of these nights I will choke on the throw up because I'm sleeping when it happens.

ME! TOTALLY ME!

1) Do NOT do NOT drink milk!!!! It turns to acid in the stomach and makes it 58482848393x worse. My doctor told me that and I was like, oh, that explains some stuff lol.

2) Try Protonix. I went to my OB and I was diagnosed with severe GERD (I too was throwing up daily from it, not sleeping, not living, ugh) and put on it and it is a MIRACLE. Like, seriously, idk when your next appointment is, but call and ask for one sooner to get some prescription medicine. Mine was too severe for -anything- over the counter to help and now at the very worst, I might take tums to supplement.

Best move I ever made, asking about my severe heartburn lol. I might be stuck with it on and off my whole life how (hoping it'll go away after pregnancy) bit I slept for the first time in TWO WEEKS after that.

It might be good for you to try to sleep propped up (if you're not already). Maybe even in a recliner or something just to have the help of gravity in keeping what's in your stomach down.
