this answerd my question too...there is over the counter ones to take right? do you know what they are called/or any good brands? thanks! :*)
And another thing I want to mention...make sure and take them AFTER you have eaten, otherwise they will make you sick to your stomache. I learned that the hard way!! :o)
Yes!! I have always taken prenatal vitamins to make my hair grow faster and it REALLY works! And, yes it is absolutely safe.
Thank you for your responses. It seems their effects are different for everyone! I guess we will give them a shot :)
I've been taking them for over a year now in hopes of getting pregnant...I was pregnant but lost the pregnancy in Dec., and have continued to take them...My hair grows pretty fast anyway, so I'm sure about that, but they definately make my fingernails grow faster and they are more strong than they used to be.
I think the part of hair growing faster or not with the prenatals is still dependant on the person. I know some womens hair thins when pregnant, no matter what, some hair gets curlier like mine did, and some straightens out. It can change the texture and thickness of your hair with or without prenatals, and also can stay that way permanantly. Taking prenatal vitamins is a great source of the vitamins and minerals a woman needs on a daily basis. No, they wont hurt you and they shouldnt make you gain weight, but I rememember one woman saying on here that her prenatals made her hungry. So I dont know for sure.
lol from what other women tell me yes. That it grows out thicker and faster, but since I never really took them long enough I cant say it for myself but I can say that it was true for them.
Do you know if they make your hair grow any faster or not?!
i had a MALE doctor once tell me that he actually takes prenatals b/c their such good vitamins!!!
Yes...I'm pregnant and dont even take them I hate them, lol, but yes I know of many many women and co-workers that take prenatals exactly for that reason. And they've told me that their hair does come out shinier and thicker, but since I havent been taking them my hair still seems the same, actually thinner.
