Starting to get worried......

Ok so i am 24w1d prego and for the last few weeks i have been having an issue with swelling.  It seems to be getting worse now though.  Both of my hands and one leg get HUGE, the other leg sweels but nowhere near as bad.  No matter what i do i cant seem to count act this.  I keep my feet up, drink tons of water, i try not to cross my legs.....nothing is helping.  its to the point now where i am ALWAYS swollen, it never seems to go down.  i wake up in the morning and before i even get out of bed i check my hands and leg and they are huge.  I have also been having headaches and today i feel kind of dizzy all of a sudden.....and i think my eyes are getting bad or soemthing they get blurry sometimes i have no idea what to do.  Any ideas?  Should i be worried?

Well after i read your posts yesturday i called the doctor and they wanted me to come right in.  On the plus side my blood pressure is really good, 112/70 i think, the doctor said that i do have severe swelling and that we are going to have to keep a close eye on it.  She checked for a heartbeat and what not, Isaiah is doing great.  I have to go for some blood work to make sure my kidneys and liver are functioning the way they should be and a couple other things.  My regular prenatal appointment is thursday so it's not to far away which is good.....i think that pretty soon i will be going every 2 weeks, which will help keep an eye on things.  So i am praying that if i am going to get pre-eclampsia it waits a couple months to show up......i do not want to deliver him anytime soon, its WAY to early.  So in the meantime i guess i just have to keep drinking as much as i can and keeping my feet up.

I would agree with Laznacko it does sound like symptoms of pre eclampsia so you really should go to the doctors as soon as you can get an appointment!!! Better to be safe than sorry hon!

I would call your doctor right away.  Those sound like they could be signs of pre-eclampsia.  It may be nothing to worry about, but better to be safe and get checked out.
