Thank You Ladies for responding.
I had the same thing once I stopped vommiting it took a couple of weeks for me to get into the swing of eating normal. Just keep trying. It sounds like your pickinggreat food and doing good at eating regularly. Try to choose foods that sound good no matter how out landish they may seem. I loved bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. I went to the store just about every other day to get fresh rolls from the bakery so they were just what I was craving. It was the only thing that sounded good. My doctor didn't seem concerned, he was certain it would pass and it did! I'm eating normally now, in fact my appetite has improved significantly in the past 2 weeks. (I'm almost 18 weeks) With my first baby, I was still vomitting up EVERYTHING until I was 8 months. I was certain my son would be affected by that, but he was a heathy 7lb. 8 oz. baby. You're doing fine. Try really hard to get those prenatals in each day. Also, look for foods that are high in fruit and vegetable servings.
Joy Renee mentioned protein powders...please read the label before you buy one. I was having problems with morning sickness and was having to set my alarm to get up and eat peanut butter and crackers mid point during the night to prevent the vomiting in the morning. I thought the protein would help me before bed each night and I bought one that said "not intended for pregnant or nursing women" on the back. I'm not sure if there are any on the market that are safe...I may have just happened to buy one that wasn't.
Good luck to you...I promise, it's all worth it.
Oh honey I was the same way with not being able to eat! You just eat itty bits all throughout the day and you'll be fine. First, you're taking your vitamin, right? So you've at least got important vitamins in you. Second, eat plain cereal instead of sugary ones so you get more fiber and healthy benefits.
I would not drink Ensure because I don't know if you can drink those during pregnancy. But you can buy a protein powder in a flavor you like and make a smoothie, add it to ice cream, etc. so that you get some protein in you. Just eat what you can! My baby was 8 lbs and 8 ounces at birth (considered large) and I hardly ate anything and she's VERY healthy.
Sounds like you are doing ok with what you are getting down. If it is that bad, you can talk to you doctor about prescribing something for the nausea. Just try to keep eating as healthy as possible.
