Herpes help ??!!

Ok so my ex thinks i have herpes, because his doc told him he suspects he has herpes. I am sooooo frustrated because for one he hasnt even got the results and he is trying to tell me that herpes turns into shingles, herpes can go to your brain and kill you. Now i am soo frustrated because i told him 1. Shingles and herpes are two different things. 2. I have not had any 'outbreak' of blisters at all, ever around my vagina or mouth..
He thinks the dermatitis i have (which has been diagnosed as dermatitis) on my hands is herpes. And hes trying to tell me, the little bumps on my nipples are herpes. Which i know, and i have read before that the little bumps on the areola are caused by pregnancy changes. Now can someone tell me if i am wrong? He gets ingrown hairs everyday because he is just a hairy boy, and i know this is probably just another ingrown. And hes tryna tell me hes 100% sure i have herpes. I got sooooo frustrated i cracked and started crying turned my phone off and deleted facebook, can someone tell me about herpes, how am i supposed to get checked up on herpes if i dont have any blisters or sores? I got my blood tests done when i found out i was pregnant and i am clean. I just want to shoot myself im so frustrated

They can do a blood test to find out if you have hsv 1 which is typically oral herpes (cold sore strain)  or hsv 2 (genital herpes) remember that hsv 1 can be spread through oral sex to the genitals. Someone may carry either strain for several years and never have an out break, but they can still shed the virus. This is why oral sex is never safe, and unprotected sex also never safe. I know that most doctors do  not generally test for herpes with regular std scans for pregnancy.

When I was tested for herpes when I was raped they told me the blood test is rarely used because it can show false results and that the only true way would be if u had a outbreak which could be anywere on ur body.

and you can get herpes 1 on your genitals and herpes 2 around your mouth as well :)

Singles is a form of chicken pox that is either on a straight line or one half of your body i know i get it from getting stressed..its not herpes..if you get cold sores those are herpes..their little bumps and gross..just get tested because it doesn't sound likean outbreak of herpes if is 1 bump..

Herpes zoster is shingles/chicken pox. Herpes simplex 1 is oral herpes which is like cold sores and fever blisters. Herpes simplex 2 is genital herpes.

I also wasn't routinely tested for herpes in the beginning, my doctor gave the option.

they dont routinely test for herpes in australia when your pregnant, its usually hiv, clomida and hep b and c, so if your at all worried go and get a blood test as pp have said the virus can lay dormant in your body for years and you can actually be a carrier of the virus without actually having an outbreak, if you have had chicken pox or have the herpes virus you can get shingles, basically its the same virus but in a different for, singles usually follows the nerves and then you have symptoms at the nerve endings and an outbreak of shingles can last for a long time veruses herpes when an outbreak is usually over within 2 weeks :)

Exactly. Ur doc in the begining when they do the blood tests they test for any and all std and stis like the other girl so if u have it now hes cheated.

They automatically test for any and all STD and STIs when they draw blood in the beginning of your pregnancy so they know how to handle your treatment if you have anything. They would have told you if you had herpes so if you do, he cheated on you and you caught it after you got pregnant. Herpes can be spread by even drinking after someone with it if they have an outbreak on their mouth. My dad has it so I did a lot of research for him so he could keep his gf from catching it.

Shingle is herpes zosters or zorter it has to do when chicken pox its like outbreak even kids could get if you had chicken pox you have a chance of getting it but more when your older ....i dont think is herpes herpes my mom got that and my mom does not has herpes she checked herself because she thought her husband was cheating on her

Juss get a blood test done juss to be sure. That is how they tell if u have it or not if no outbreak is there. Wish u the best

How is it tested if there is no outbreak, is it by bloodtest?

Well sometimes herpes can lay dormant for literally years before you get an outbreak, so it's always best to get it checked. I'm sure your doctor did that as a routine screening in the beginning anyway?

He hasnt ever been diagnosed with herpes, and he thinks that he has it now because of one 'bump' he found down there.. He reckons he has been clean his whole life now this!? Ive never been diagnosed with it nor had symptoms ..

Shingles and herpes are the same thing, just in a different form. If you've ever had the chicken pox, you have the herpes virus already in your body. Ignore him, he's not a doctor, he can't tell you if you have herpes or not.

Wow, did he go to sex ed? Has he not learned about herpes?? Haha.. I would make sure you're tested, because you can go a long time without an outbreak, so I'd do it just to be safe. Did he not tell you that he had herpes before you two had unprotected sex? And does he not know that if you DID have herpes, and an outbreak during delivery you'd have to have a c-section? It's nothing funny or fun to stress someone out over.
