Will I need to bring breastfeeding pads?
Will we have to bring our own blanket for my husband?
Thank you so much ladies. I'm starting to stress packing the bag because my MIL is breathing down my neck about it.
But By pads, do you mean the normal winged ones or the HUGE ones? I do plan on breastfeeding so I'll need to pick up a nursing bra/tank top.
Oh & an extra bag just in case you will bring extra things home from the hospital
Oh & bring money just in case and/or I pod or mp3 player
Phone & phone charger, camera, any books to read, of you wear glasses & some socks
Bring tooth brush, hair brush, some tooth paste, deodorant, any hair products, towels, shampoos, conditioner & maybe some perfume.
Definitely don't forget big comfy underwear! You're gonna need it with the huge pads and ice packs they have you wear. My hospital provides you with the pads and even this mesh underwear but I found it really uncomfortable and used my own. Also like the ladies above said, definitely take you comfy clothes so you don't have to be in the robe the whole time. And shower stuff. You'll feel gross and icky and wanna take a nice shower . also maybe your own comfy pillow.
The hospital where I had my kids at always gave u pads while ur there ... All I ever bring is some pj's and what I need to take a shower and baby bag
I would bring a few pairs of comfy pjs so u don't have to wear a hospital robe the hole time and if the dad is with u and comming with make sure he has some clothes as stuff backed as well and I'd bring somthing to do while ur in labor to distract ur from the pain :)
Pjs, slippers, maternity sports bra (if planning to breast feed), shampoo and conditioner.
Don't forget pads!! I've also packed little travel size shampoo and conditioner. Personal hygiene stuff
I packed slippers and a robe and also a outfit to leave the hospital with
