First Doc Appt at 16+6 weeks!

Would I be able to find out the gender possibly? I know supposedly boy genders show up pretty early, I found out my son at 18wk appt, I want know now! Lol

At my 1st appt they did an ultrasound right in the Dr office with a portable ultrasound machine that was very small. But when i had my gender scan it was with an ultrasound technician and a much bigger ultrasound machine.

Oh I hope, that would be great! I'm happy with either but the suspense is killing me! I already have my baby boy, so a girl would be nice but a little brother would be just as great for my first!

Nope. Finding out the gender doesn't require a different kind of ultrasound.  My Dr checks the gender at 16 weeks.
I would just ask the tech if she could check gender. They might do it for you. It won't hurt to just ask anyways :)

Sub question, so do they use a certain ultrasound technique or something when determining gender? Cause on my first appt I'm sure they will do an ultrasound, maybe gender will be noticeable??

Depends on your dr. They made me wait until i was 20 weeks but if you go to a private ultrasound place where they do 3d and 4d ultrasounds they guarantee after 16 weeks.
