Faint Positive HPT yesterday, then BFN this morning, WTF!?!?!

OMG, i just dont get it. Yesterday night, around 7pm, i took an HPT, an i swear i saw a very a faint pink line. Even my hubby sees something. Then, i took an HPT with morning pee, and BFN!  Was it a spoof?  Af isnt due for two more days. If i was pg, wouldnt the test pick it up by now. I feel i got excited for nothing. So upset! The only symptom i have is swollen and tender bbs, and my temp is still higher than normal. Today i charted at 98.44. Here are my temps the past few days.  2/10-98.63, 2/11-98.41, 2/12-98.57, 2/13-98.57, 2/14-98.44. I am afraid to test again. Is it too early, or just getting my hopes up. My luck, it was a defected test :(

I am going to give it one more month and then i will talk to my doc. It just concerns me that i havent got pregnant yet.  I am only 26, still young and healthy.  Maybe its because i want it so bad. Its just not fair.  Why do women who want children so bad have the hardest time getting pregnant?  And women who dont, it happens so fast.

it cant hurt to talk to them about it, I would atleast for the info. When i m/c in may i was going to do IUI as opposed to IVF, but I decided to give it 1 more month and got PG. alot of times it can happen that way as soon as you go to try something else you get a lucky break. I'm 37 and tried for a 2 years and the more i asked questions, i found health issues i didn't know about and resolved them one by one.  good luck hun ~d

Yeah, how strange is that?  I just want things to get back to normal.  Does anyone think i should talk to my doctor about fertility treatment?  I am not sure if i should wait longer.  Like i said, i have been TTC for almost 6 months now since my m/c.  And no luck. Not sure what to do.

Hey Hun, the same thing happened to me. My first Period after my M/C came on day 32 and it only lasted about 3-4 days. Than my second Period came on day 40 and lasted 3 days...went away for a day than barely came back for a day. It was so strange. So my cycles are getting longer and my Periods are getting shorter. It's very strange and it confuses the hell out of me!

:) Sure.  You are more than welcome to look at my chart anytime.  Has anyone's af shortened after a miscarriage.   Mine seem to last 2-3 days.  Which is totally fine, but curious as to why.  I started my af saturday morning, then it started to slow down ALOT by sunday night. Now i am just spotting.

Hey...I'm in the same boat.
Supposed to start today and right on time AF showed up bringing a bag of goodies with her, including cramps. I hate how similar symptoms of P are to symptoms of AF! The thing that sucks the most for me right now is that I'm on pain meds for 2 extractions, 2 root canals and 2 implants from the dentist. nonetheless, even w/pain meds I can still feel AF cramps and they suck!!!  One thing I've noticed lately is that I'll have really bad cramps the first day but very light bleeding. I thought cramps were from the lining being shed which is why we bleed heavily. Any ideas on that (anyone??)

SHE CAME!!!!  YES, af showed her nasty face!  And right on time.  Oh well, here goes for next month!!    Wow didnt see it coming.  Funny thing is I have never had any af symptoms before i got pregnant. Now, i have crazy af symptoms.  Heavy boobs, cramps.  Why do all the same symptoms for af are the same as pg symtpoms?

Try not to think about it and if I were you I would wait until Sun just to see if af shows.  I got a pos 4 days before af but tested again the day after af didn't show and mine was still BFP.  I'm now 6 wks.  I hope the best for you this weekend.  Keep hoping and baby dust to you!!!!!

no, i am afraid to test. I dont know if i want to at all LOL.  Too many BFNs ya know. Sometimes i pee a lot too right before af. So maybe she is on her way. Took an HPT yesterday, and BFN!  If temp is still above normal, then af is NOT likely to show up tomorrow......right?

today is such a werid day. I have been peeing like crazy.  OMG everytime i pee, i feel l have to go again. Even when i know i am empty, i still have that feeling.  My bbs are a little tender too, on the undersides.  And the blue veins look a bit more noticable. Like i said, dont think af is coming tomorrow.  They way i have been feeling, and espcially since my temp is still a bit high.

Thanks.  I hope so too. AF is due tomorrow, and still no sign of her. I feel a little queasy today, and boobs hurt alittle. It could be that i ate a huge breakfast.  But we will see, if she doesnt show tomorrow...hmmmm.....i hope this is a good sign.  My temps are still above my coverline too.I hope, hope, hope.

sorry to hear you're going through this. i had a fase positive once. it was just how you described it, one positive and 3 negative. i was confused. i went to the doc. doc. said not pregnant. i had a cyst on my ovary and he said that could have been the reason i got a positive. not sure though. hope everything works out in your favor!!! good luck!

Most digital tests can't detect the pregnancy hormone until at least 50 where as first response has been proven to detect it as low as 12. Each test in each box are different as well and one test can weirdly be more sensitive than another. I would say re-test and don't give up hope!

Thank you very much.  I hope you are right. Weird thing. As i wiped, i noticed a string of tissue like how your period looks at the end. It was clear with a little bit of red. Maybe you are right, i hope its implantation bleeding. I am 12 dpo.  So it is around the right time.  We will see. If i do not get af this weekend, then maybe!!!!  Im crossing my fingers too. Oh, and my bbs are not as sore anymore or feel as heavy.  What does that mean?

I had a positive pregnancy test at night.  The next morning the line as so faint!!! Then I took another one that night that came back positive. Its weird because they usually say to use the first morning urine. Try taking another one at night and be sure to limit your fluid intake before testing.  Also I highly recommend using the pregnancy test from the Dollar store.  They are actually pretty sensitive, and they're only a buck.  Good luck.  I hope you are only experiencing implantation bleeding!!!

Could be implantation bleeding.  Usually comes when af is due.  I never experienced it but some women on here have.  Baby dust to you!!!!!

Well, i think af is coming.  I saw a little light pink on the tp. Weird cus my temp is still high. Hmm...maybe it wont come for a couple days. Damn!  That faint line was probably some sort of defect or an evap line. DAMN! Oh well. Lets try for next month. That will make it 6 months TTC since the m/c. Wow!  I shouldve been pg by now!

Hmmm....that is interesting. Well, maybe its worth sticking to the non-digital tests. I will see. I will wait till Sunday or Monday, and if no af shows, I will take another test. I may have to get a blood test. Gosh, this is so frustrating. I h ate spending so much $$ on these damn tests, and especially every time a negative shows up. Why is to so hard to get pregnant when you want to have a baby. when you dont, POOF, you get pregnant. Weird how that works.

I got a faint positive with my 2nd then a few negatives.  The next one was faint again so I got a digital and it said neg.  It was confirmed positive with a blood test.  Even when confirmed positive the digital still said negative

Thanks. I really hope it is one of those times, where it may be negative now, but it will be positive later. I think two cycles ago, i was 6 days late for my period, took like 5 tests, all BFN, then af showed her ugly face. I wonder if it will be one of those times. Even if i dont get my baby wish today, at least i can enjoy the 2 dozen chocolate strawberries my hubby got me.  YUM!!!
