I also bartend/waitress. I carry ice bins, cases of beer and kegs. A few co worker s yell at me and take over but others don't care and just watch me do it. I'm 6 months and its getting difficult. I work 10 hours a night mostly with only 1 10 min break and I go hours without eating or drinking bc its just so busy I don't know how much longer I can do it!
I was told not to lift anything over 20lbs but I also have a bad back so that might be why
Only do what you feel comfortable with... I can lift heavier trays than I can boxes (like I can't move the soda and beer boxes cause carrying them against my belly hurts, but trays over my should never do) . As long as your doc doesn't order activity restrictions then keep doing what you can. One of my managers sister is a week behind me and on bed rest for various issues and so everytime he sees me doing stuff he freaks out and tells me I need to slow down, I have to keeping telling him I'm not afraid to get help when I need it and not to worry. :)
They say if u did it before u were pregnant than u should be fine to do it during
I waitress too.. I just take a few plates at a time so its not so much at oonce.
I'm a waitress also I worked until I delivered. But everybody I work with was very helpful, I still try to carry ice buckets and sugar bags, I feel like if its something you did before you're pregnant you should be fine in moderation. I would say nothing more than 40 pounds
