How soon should I test

How soon should i test if my last period was July 16th and I had unprotected sex with my partner around July 30th and serveral times since then...I have not had a peroid for a year prior to this date due to depo injections..which i only had two b4 i discontinued..if i test and it come up negative..how long should i wait because we also used no protection around Aug 9th and the 19th

I was on depo last year too(last injection march 2008) Periods came back July 2008 but were on and off sometimes coming every two weeks! I would not get back on depo. It was great at the time but when me and DH wanted to try for a baby it made it really hard.
Anyways, I believe you would have ovulated around that time too (I ovulated on the 30th)
i think you should go ahead and test. As far as being out of luck for conception, I wouldn't go that far. Your body will get back to normal.** Also, I do remember trying this product called Vitex. I must say it did work (for me anyway, some women say it didn't help, but it also gave me terrible headaches) i started getting my periods again and regularly too! And I ended up conceiving!(That was back in Jan of this year, we lost the baby @ 12 weeks, but that had nothing to do with depo or the vitex, I was extrememly sick and not eating) Anywho, all is not lost. Take the test and go from there.

Thanks for the information....My last injection of depo was september 26 2008 and i feel it has destroyed my body...I had a 5 day peroid with heavy bleeding and cramping.  This was July 16th ..i would have been ovlating around the 29th or 30th..so if i take a HPT and its neg...chances are the depo has me out of whack and probably out of luck for conception....

My LMP was on July 17 =)
I tested with a clearblue easy digital test on August 10 and got a positive(4 days before my expected period)
I think a test would be pretty accurate(from July Ovulation). It's kinda of confusing given that you just stopped depo but assumming your cycles are otherwise normal, you were not due to ovulate close to the 9th or the 19th. If u test and it's negative and you're still worried about the august dates, take another test around the first week of september.

I would wait 19 days from the day of the last time you had unprotected sex and then test! Good luck!
