How to produce more colostrum???

I'm 37w4d and was Told today by my midwife that I need to start expressing my colostrum now because I have geatational diabetes and my Baby may be born with low blood sugar.
To prevent them from giving him formula I have to hand express into syringes and freeze what I collect.
Well I had a go to night and I could only collect 0.3ml... NOT EVEN 1ML!!!
I'm so disappointed, I thought if have more.

Do any of you ladies have any tips on how to improve my supply before my little man arrives??

Thank you. :-) I have increased the amount of times I express daily. Still not getting much colostrum... But it's a slow start. :-)

You need to trick your body into thinking baby is here already. The more often you do it the more you will produce. If you want to speed up the process you need to be expressing regularly, every 2-4 hours. If you do each breast twice each time it will make you produce more too. Basically the more effort you put in the more you will get out. It works on a supply and demand basis, so the more your body thinks the baby needs the more it will produce
