question about ovulation test strips

Hi

I had af on 17th Feb and am usually a 30/31 day cycle. I started using ovulation test strips 5 days after af had finished, yesterday morning there was nothing at all, i then re-tested again just after lunchtime (about 1pm) and there was a very very faint line next to the control line. I tested again this morning and the line is more pink now but not as dark as the control line yet.....my q. is, as I tested this morning if I were to repeat tonight would the surge have increased enough to to match the test line and mean that i can ttc tonight? Or would I need to wait until tomorrow morning to see a significant change before ttc? Don't want to waste tests, but also definitely do not want to waste an evening of ttc!

Thanks in advance!

When I was using OPKs I tested twice a day when I was getting close to ovulating. It's possible for you to get the surge later in the day and it's actually recommended that you test in the afternoon/evening.  I never got a line that was quite as dark as the control, but I obviously ovulaTed because I'm preggers now :)  I would say go ahead and BD tonight and then test again tomorrow to see what the test looks like. Good luck!!
