I got pregnant with my son when my daughter was 4 months old, and they're gunna be 13 months apart.
I had my daughter via c-section and might get to try a VBAC with this one, and I'm not high risk.
That's really weird, honestly. It is probably just his office's protocol because I have never heard of that before. And I know many, many women who've gotten pregnant before their first was a year (including myself, though I miscarried).
Same here, I gave birth on April 2009 and found out I was pregnant like around June. I'm almost 5mths and my OB never mentioned me being high risk. But like Laura said, it's a preacaution and that is a good thing!
I am not sure why they are doing this. I gave birth to my daughter via CSECTION on February 3, 2009 and in May 2009 found out I was pregnant and am due in february 2010. I am not considered high risk..even with a ceserean.....
Thanks! That is basically what my ob's office told me, but I was just curious if anyone else had any info on it!! THanks so much for responding!
I think they have to place in you in the "high risk" catergory because the body "needs" typically 12-18 months to heal ideally after a delivery. However, I don't think there is any *real* concern if your history doesn't warrant it. It sounds to me like a precaution, and that is a good thing. Good Luck! =)
