I got pregnant by a married man he is in the military (army) he was supposedly getting a divorce. We would go clubbing together just to get over exs anyways one night I got super drunk and ended up getting pregnant. Now im all happy/depress/sad. The wife and her sister just keep telling me don't go and make a big deal because he'll loose his job and you won't get sh*t. Im really mad because I can't file for childsupport until im 6 months. im burly 3 months. I don't know what else can be done! Im so mad/sad.  I don't have no one to talk to about it cause they all tell me the same thing. :(

over here it all depends if you have a good lawyer and also.the receipts ugh I just can't believe the fact that some guys are just so childish!and don't stand up for their actions..

unfortunately, nothing can be done about making them pay while you are still pregnant. I've went and spoke to a lawyer, and in my state, if you're pregnant and the father refuses to help, then you're basically on your own. I've had to get all of my baby's things by myself(his crib, clothes, playpen, etc) and he isn't required to help through any of it. The most you can do is save receipts of the things that you've bought while you are pregnant, and if he doesn't help when the baby is born you can take him to court for child support, and show proof(the receipts) that you bought everything on your own, and the judge can force him to pay half of it.

Ha no. at the beginning he said he was going to be around then all the sudden he stopped talking to me I told him that if he could meet me somewhere so he could fill up his part on the child support all the sudden he disappear changed his number and will be leaving the stated soon.

is he at least saying he is going to help, or making any sign that he is going to help once the baby gets here?

Sorry I took a long time he is an E4. Yeah I know I don't want know benefits for me I just want my child to know who his dad is and have a better life than me. I already let his Sargent of Command know just that the wife keeps telling me to shut up im guessing she wants to divorce him before hand to get all the benefits.

I'm military just a heads up... there are many ways to go about the situation. If he cooperates about being there for the child then the child only the baby will have benefits thru the military he will have his visitation rights and he will pay child support but of course if he agree to sign the birth certificate or proven by DNA. Also another way you can speak to a jag officer judge advocate general officer which for us is the ones who specializes in military law like a lawyer also you can speak with his chain of command and them know the situation but here is the treacky part about it his chain of command can go about the situation in many ways they can get him for adultery or make him help you thru your pregnancy and wait for DNA then get him on adultery by the way what is his rank???

They leave it on file once the child is born and the DNA test is done and you go to court they might make them pay about 3 months for not supporting you thru pregnancy.

How is the child support thing possible if you aren't able to prove its their baby? That's weird..

He is being a total coward and his wife is really trying to destroy him. Yes you can file for child support while your pregnant but could only do it on your last trimester

Well I look at it like this: either he can be a man and take care of his responsibility or he can be a coward and you can take him for support and he can loose his career. Its really all up to him he knew what he was doing before he done if and now he needs to man up! Just my.opinion
